Join Turning Tides for our this Spooky Season-inspired tide pooling event in Biddeford Pool! October’s negative low tides occur after nightfall and right before Halloween. So, warm up for Mischief Night and Halloween with us in the rocky intertidal. Will we see blood worms? Skeleton shrimp? Ghost anemones? Come along and find out!
Meeting Location: The corner of Lester B Orcutt Boulevard and Ocean Avenue in Biddeford Pool.
Parking: There is street parking at this location and on the adjoining streets as well.
Dress code: For your safety, you should wear closed-toed shoes. You will get the most out of tide pooling in waterproof boots and clothes you don’t mind getting wet. For this After Dark edition, you must also bring a headlight or flashlight to help you safely navigate the intertidal. Note that you will not find your phone flashlight to be sufficient.
