    Private tide pooling sessions run for about one hour and offer your group the opportunity to get outdoors and learn together. You will meet fascinating marine life in a quintessential Maine coast setting while learning from a scientist who’s spent years studying the ecosystem. This option is ideal for couples, families, or small groups of friends.

    Small groups may book their private sessions using the special request form at the bottom of this page.

    Turning Tides wants to facilitate your salty school field trips, beachy birthday parties, coastal corporate outings, and other fun events.

    We can accommodate groups of up to 50 people up and down the Maine coast.

    Please request booking an intertidal event using the special request form at the bottom of this page.

Special request form

This form may be used to request sessions for groups larger than eight, locations outside of Biddeford Pool, and in the off-season (October-April).

We strive to answer all requests within 24 hours. If you don’t see a response within 24 hours, it probably ended up in your spam folder! Check for the email aubrey.turningtides@gmail.com.

Pricing ranges from $35-$60+/person depending on group size and the specifics of your request, as we may contract out additional marine scientists to serve as guides, incur additional travel costs, and/or spend additional time scoping out the tide to ensure the best experience.
